Moving a SQL Server ERP used by 21 branches
Butt Karahi and Butt Sweets & Bakers are based in Lahore, Pakistan. Two slow, noisy onsite servers supported the SQL Server ERP used across 21 branches of the two businesses. They needed electricity and cooling around the clock, created heat and noise, and depended on backup power and a single internet connection. A problem at that office could interrupt work across the branches.
Our work
- Moved the existing custom ERP to a dedicated offsite server in Europe
- Updated Windows Server, SQL Server and the reporting environment
- Set up staff access, daily offsite backups and ongoing server monitoring
- Provide ongoing SQL Server maintenance and general IT support
The move substantially reduced the businesses’ server running costs. The businesses no longer have to keep the old servers powered and cooled at the office. Branch access to the ERP no longer depends on that office’s power supply or internet connection, and Titan Cloud Servers manages the offsite Windows Server, SQL Server environment, backups and ongoing support.
